Excited for this release, but let's not forget "Hometown Hero" is a perfect song (maybe his best?).
perhaps coincidentally, that is the best time to imagine dragons
The diss tracks were good in the moment, but if I remember correctly, Lil B followed them (pretty soon after) with apologies. That's admirable as a human being, but it kinda undermines the credibility of the claim that the death threats make the diss tracks more "real." In both cases, Lil B just admitted he was mad online and moved on. His curses, though, are legitimately scary. I remember what happened to James Harden in 2015. Don't want any part of that.
TBH though, I'm probably overthinking this anyway. You like what you like. Genuinely hope the A$AP record continues to expand your mind. That's a listening experience we all deserve. All love here. Keep up the stellar snark, hope to see you appear on future Shut Up Dudes.
As to ASAP, I've heard it. It's fine. Don't think it's the best album in a long time, don't even think it's top five in the past two or three months. And for the record, not a Drake hater. I've barely posted about him. He's also fine. Nice For What is good. I like it. I mean, the whole women's empowerment thing he's trying to ride is super hypocritical, but we won't get into that. And I don't care what the little kids are going to love. They also love Jake Paul. Doesn't make him good or more worthy of discussion or whatever. And that Lil B claim: Okay. Sure.
leaning a little too far into the contrarian shtick there, eh?
Can't wait for this album, saw her in Asheville last summer, where she pulled out "Night Shift." Gorgeous and wistful, until it kicks in and blows your eyeballs out. Also, want to register my unabashed excitement about that new Superorganism joint.
It's great, I don't think there's a weak spot on LONER.
*waves hand* Here!
God, I hope, for your sake.
I just can't believe it.
Lol, @bloc with the Wrens.
Cheers to a good year in the memes, friends! I'm feeling quite magnanimous right now.
The energy here reminds me of when a bunch of grime artists pile into a studio and just start going at it, except Black Thought is one person and he never stops to laugh or breathe.
ALASKA!!! Holy hell what a song
