Chelsea Peretti is great and Young Sandwich is too obviously but the show isn't there yet, and I think Kelly is right if she's saying (as I think she is?) that it hasn't really earned being P&R yet. Only I don't even like P&R so, but, Community took a good few episodes before it worked, no stanno.
Still get a chris_hansen.jpg kind of feeling about the inclusion of Emma Watson but I guess that's because you get old really quickly folks and almost don't notice the world has moved on and Emma Watson is no longer like 19. Gotta be at least 22 now.
Ahh no, they still haven't got round to that dynamite sketch I sent in! It was an observational-comedy 'bit' (showbiz jargon) about how you know when you're reading an American blog and you want to watch a Hulu embed and you can't because of something to do with regions. Right? I mean are they holding out for a big sale? What's up with that?

Well... it's kind of her accent! Or, she doesn't exactly have an accent. She does American and English and both are her coz she grew up partly in England and lives here now.
It's not Diane Kruger's fault, the original Swedo-Dano version had the exact same problem and I stopped watching after the first episode because it wasn't too good and life is short. Try Borgen though! And the original The Killing.
I'm glad Gabe called this bc it was creeping out that the reviews hadn't. Oh, well, except this piece of verbal garbage in London's 'Evening Standard':

Moving on, the film was a bit confusing but it seemed almost like Brad DID NOT KNOW that Israel was safe until the crazy man with no teeth on a South Korean army base told him. Would this not be common knowledge?

What is Matthew Weiner talking about? That is literally a list of things that happened. Like, "the Martin Luther King assassination". He was assassinated and some characters were upset and awkward around that one black character who then disappeared. There was a merger. It happened in Episode 5. It was almost as exciting as when those British people were in it for a bit. A big event of the season is "where Don and Megan are", which is that he is a philandering scumbag? Or just "the Upper East Side"? Don reunited with Betty after that long, long absence, so there was that. I'm glad that Don reconciled with himself in the end though. It was a rough ride for him being rich and white and screwing who he liked.

Hmm, I dunno, though, is that really so bizarre? A lot of people seem to do it even now afaict! Millennials. Am I right?
Also, wasn't there an almost as loopy long period where people watched "DVD"s which allowed them to skip the credits too? Even more easily than on Netflix?
We don't really have the whole 'slice' thing going on here so much (we have Domino now, TA VERY MUCH America), or didn't when P-Stew was young BUT THEN he has been living in LA since about 1987 so who even knows.
I watched just the first one and it wasn't good, was it? Lot of kind of, not quite homophobic jokes. And jokes about George Sr being racist that were somehow just kind of on the nose. Bleh, who cares, because the sun is shining outdoors, and when it isn't we can marathon New Girl or some such thing.

Which raises the point: all these whingers who don't want to pronounce "gif" "jif" are FINE pronouncing it "blinjee" as we ALL do, so what is the problem again?
I thought this was a good-enough movie that I was in the right mood for. Not going to be talking about it in two weeks, but that's OK.
With that said, I don't know why they pay the writers so much when they are so bad. I'm not a Whovian, as I believe fans are called, but the Khan thing doesn't make any damn sense except as a Big Reveal.
There was some really shaky plotting the whole way through: Mickey seems to have killed himself right? In return for Khan saving his kid's life. But then Starfleet seems to have interrogated him to find out who gave him the ring/bomb, so uh? But then John Harrison, having devised this very elaborate bomb attack, up and flies his own attack craft when taking out the Starfleet meeting? K. Anyway, I could get caught up in moments like Khan and Kirk jumping between spaceships but all in all gimme a break.
Also ye gods Simon Pegg's Scottish accent is, I dunno what the word is but it's ridiculously bad, so bad it must be deliberate.
No way, man. It's a totally necessary shot, because her character ends up being Capt Kirk's wife, and how could that even happen if he didn't sneak a peek at her in her knickers? Think about it!
