Maybe it's just because I'm still in college, but Halloween is the BEST holiday! Everybody dresses up in costumes and gets really drunk and sometimes candy is involved - sounds like a good time to me!
My roommate is in love with this band and every time she plays one of their songs I think it's The Libertines. Or Babyshambles, to be fair to the current Pete Doherty-fronted band. It kinda sounds like them too.
Bill Cosby is speaking at my school's 40th anniversary celebration this year and that video just made me really excited for it.
Kind of not really helping the debate much here, but I knew a guy who had Tourette's and I noticed that whenever he had a verbal tic (not very often, he mostly had facial tics) his voice sounded really odd. Her's does too, it almost sounds like she has a really sore throat. I wonder why that is? Also, when she shouted "sex" while they were just sitting there I loled. You can't deny it, Tourette's is both sad and hilarious.
Seriously. I stopped having a celebrity crush on him after hearing about that.
I also enjoy this movie because of its ridiculousness. I know it's a bad movie, but I just can't help it. I love lots of violence. And I love that randi compared this movie to Ninja Turtles.
I wasn't too familiar with Patton Oswalt before Conan last night (I'd heard of him, and seen some of his stuff, but not much), but my roommate and I were laughing almost non-stop during his interview. It was hilarious. I loved it!
Lindsay, I will watch Weeds with you. It's such a good show.
You sound just like my roommate. Nicolas Cage is her least favorite person in the world. She just said she loves you for that comment.
I thought it was going to be weird because of the ridiculous sweaters but NO it was weird because of so many other things. The sweaters were the least-weird part of this video. My name is I.B. Diffusion and I make people really uncomfortable.
They're both researching to see if it could give them an STD before they swallow. Not necessarily the same dude.
I don't know what it says about this movie that the writer/director and the lead actor are brothers (I used IMDb to verify this).
I don't have cable, so I didn't watch the VMAs (yeah, that's why), but you know how I feel about Russell Brand. I don't think claiming he's my boyfriend is a bad thing at all.
Last year, the VMAs were being shown at the same time as my friend's surprise birthday party (not that anyone who was there was planning on watching them anyway). But we were all getting ready to hide because she was almost home, then someone ran into the living room and yelled "Britney's about to start!" and turned the TV on. Everyone in the room was completely silent and we all just stared for a second after it was over. Then someone went "Was that real?" I'm glad that's not happening again this time.
Oh man, I hate when it's fake and I fall for it.
As someone whose main career goal is to become a cinematographer, I feel like I've already seen the only award I really care about. Not that the VMAs mean much anyway, it's most just bands I don't listen to and songs I haven't heard. Although I'm totally watching at least part of it for my-totally-inappropriate-crush Russel Brand.
Oh yeah kid, that's funny, because when someone is sprayed with pepper spray and can't wash it off quickly they get FIRST DEGREE BURNS.
Um, I'm sorry Videogum, but can we never give Russel Brand back? Can he just stay here forever? Seriously, I love him. His stand-up is great and worth checking out. I would also suggest you watch Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2006 and/or 2007 (both are on YouTube) because he and Noel Fielding (who I also love) are so hilarious in it, but they're both like 2 hours long and if you already don't like him it's unlikely you will. I'm just saying, I do have some evidence that he's actually hilarious.
I feel like I should be mocking this news but I still own Spice World on VHS.
In a completely unrelated note; I'm watching this children's show because I use an antenna for TV and I only get 4 channels and it's the only thing on besides soaps right now. Al Roker was just on for like 2 seconds to say some word (I think the letter this episode is "i") and my friend was like "Why is Al Roker on this show?" and I thought of Gabe.
I've always liked Kal Penn, but until know I didn't have any kind of celebrity crush on him. Partially for his awesomeness in participating in this at all, and partially because I now have a way to connect him to Virginia, which is of course the best state. Minus the part where there used to be slavery.
In 1991 I was just mastering walking so that's probably why I've never heard of this movie, but apparently that's a good thing. Bruce Willis movies in general are to be avoided (with a few exceptions).
It's also my roommate's birthday. And born in 1989! Is your name Angie? Are you my roommate?
You win the Olympics for linking to dlisted.
I don't believe that she even uses real microphones. Why bother, doesn't she just lip synch it all anyway?
Well, it's about as good as any Pink song is, I guess. I do like the little catchy tune she uses in the verses. And I love the Thriller dance in any form.
I chuckled when he said it. It was a good pun. Good job Tiki.
I used to love Marcy Playground. They were pretty awesome. Man, I miss the 90s, such great music.
I watched this episode after seeing the last montage you posted. It reminded me very much of the tourettes episode of True Life (which EVERYONE at my high school was talking about the day after it aired) in that I have never laughed so hard at something so sad.
I'm sorry - did you say "bordering" on art? Also, I clicked the video to see what the title of the short was (It's called "idol" if anyone cares), and the first related video that shows up is "The Best of Polish Idol" which I am now very tempted to watch.
I don't have cable anymore and I was sad for a while when I realized I was going to miss The Soup, but luckily you guys make sure I'm updated on my favorite person on TV. I could never get bored of Joel McHale.
I'm a little frightened by that.
I have three dogs and not one of them would sit through the time it takes to use the Pedi Paws. Cutting their nails is so ridiculous, one of them actually has to be brought to the vet for it to be done, she won't let anyone near her with the nail clippers.
I loved "Nosferatu," but as that's not a traditional teen girl kind of vampire movie nor was it part of some huge vampire kick where I saw/read a bunch of vampire-related stuff, I can safely say I never went through that vampire phase. And I never understood it. Maybe that's because Nosferatu really ruined the idea that all vampires are super-sexy and I might be so attracted to one that I would be willing to literally die (or be "undead" or whatever vampires are) to be with them. That and "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein."
I can not get over how much I love this album. Mystery Jets = so incredibly awesome.
Her voice is really amazing. I love it.
Their song "Wedding Bells" was (supposed to be) my sister and her husband's first dance. Of course, they learned the problem with requesting indie songs from a wedding DJ.
This makes me sad because I really love Russell Brand and these promos do make him look really creepy. I'm kind of afraid of him getting really big over here, but I suppose it's not the end of the world and I should just stop being an obnoxious hipster and get over it.
