I love the Nicolas Jaar song soo much--partly because of how sparse it is--that it initially felt intrusive to have other vocals over top. He took good care of it though, it works really well.
Let's call this what it is and celebrate accordingly: a resurrected 'What's Up With Topher Grace?'
Nailed it.
Bang Bang Bang
You just hit a double.
Whoops! I think you meant to say Lana Del Rey.
Whoops! I think you meant to say Rubber Factory.
This hobby is new at least every 7 days.
This Videogum party in Stereogum's house feels like a gradeschool sleepover. Plans made Thursday I'm filled with excitement. Can't focus on anything else by Fridayafternoon. Then the dreaded Saturday lunch comes and I'm asking dad, can Videogum stay longer? Another night? Another hour? Pleaaaase?
But do you really see the colors, man? http://cache.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/1141431-bigthumbnail.jpg
If global wrarming means more Pappy Von Dinkle around here, then let those ice caps melt and flood us all away.
It's like somebody spilled a beer, all over dee atmosphere, it's like somebody spilled a beeee-e-e-eerr.

I understand the frustration. Personally, I'd never sell or buy an RSD release on ebay out principle. I'd like to point out that not everyone's experience is defined by exlcusive releases or ruined by the "touts" who flip the records. I picked up a couple "exclusive" RSD releases and even more non exclusive releases. I talked with a few strangers about music and what motivates them to come out on record store day. For an even longer amount of time, I talked to my local shop's owner about pressing plants and quality, the evolution of 45s, and which his favorite records of the moments were. To me, it was a celebration of music, a celebration of shopping locally and from independent sellers, and a time to connect with my neighbors on a shared interest: the love of music. I don't need Record Store Day and I certainly don't need exclusive RSD releases. Touts be damned, but I like that it takes an ordinary day in April and dedicates/celebrates it in the name of music.
My man! It's great to her that voice again. A return to form after the departure of Marvelous Clouds. I have to admit, the solo toward the end left me missing Deaner, but it's nice to get some Ween-esque tunes anyway. Looking forward to more.
I grabbed Oneohtrix Point Never, Built to Spill, Otis Redding, and Gram Parsons. My favorite find was not an RSD release, it was Harry Nilsson's John-Lennon-produced Pussy Cats in near mint condition. Much Mango.
I can't walk away, you can't walk away, lwd can't walk away
