If 'we alone were liberators of the whole world' why are North Korea, Myanmar, China & way too many countries in the Middle East & Africa under the rule of oppressive & totalitarian regimes? Oh & remember those murderous dictators we've helped to power all over the world?

You have truly fooled yourself. How convenient that the spending line is drawn now when we have an actual threat to spend against & not one composed of lies & half-truths.
In all fairness it is an amazing stretch to say SOME IF NOT MOST of these people protested Bush's spending. They were not protesting because we were spending money to save our [God's] country from heathen brown people with imaginary nuclear weapons. That's the kind of spending red-blooded, square-jawed, Jesus-humping American can stand behind.
Not this spending to save the economy from collapsing. That's socialism, which Jesus said was a sin.
