Our wedding venue told us out of the blue (after they cashed our deposit check) that they will be closed for renovations for 6 months, and our date is smack dab in the middle of that. So, haha, surprise! We're back at square one! hashtag great day.
Last year my fiance and I were going to be Bret (me) and Jemaine (him) from Flight of the Conchords. We bought all our costume stuff and I had a fake beard crepe wool plan and we were super excited, but then NONE of our friends had a costume party, and nobody was even interested in coming to our place for a costume party, so we had nothing to dress up for. I'm not sure what's going on this year either. Basically I'm having visions of us repeatedly being unable to debut our awesome couples costume for the next 20 years.
Four years ago I dressed up as Liz Lemon, which basically entailed me wearing my normal clothes and a wig and fake glasses. Now I actually wear glasses and have grown my hair out so I'm pretty much Liz Lemon every day!
Today is pretty good! I got a nice compliment on something I've been doing for my project at work. Also, my fiance is currently in an all-day final interview for a cool job, and I haven't heard any word from him but they are planning on going out for margaritas afterward, so hopefully that's a good sign!
It certainly would have been more satisfying than him BECOMING A LUMBERJACK!
I just summarized the episode for a co-worker and he thought I was messing with him. It took about ten "Seriously. That's what happened"s to convince him otherwise.
I've been hate-watching Dexter since season 6. The finale was so amazingly over-the-top bad, I couldn't believe it. I cannot envision a stupider final episode. How many times in a single hour can something happen in a crowded place in broad daylight that nobody notices?
Yes, I'm super afraid that Saul is going to die this season, and I really thought Jesse was going to do it this episode in which case I would have been SO BUMMED.
My day has been okay... work is really stressful (still here now) because of looming deadlines. Also because my computer just did not want to behave today and kept crashing, so a 2 hour task took closer to 4 hours. :(
But a friend/coworker of mine dropped off his ps3 and a copy of The Last of Us, and I am super excited to play it if I ever get out of here!
The Arya cliffhanger was cut short (pun not intended?) for me because I was venting to a co-worker who had read the books, and I mentioned the Hound hitting Arya with his axe, and he had no idea what I was talking about. I figured if he had actually killed her, he would have known exactly what I was referring to.
I got a promotion and a raise a couple days ago, so that was pretty rockin! But today's been a pretty meh day. I was sleepy and didn't get a lot accomplished. The second I got home from work I changed into pajamas and I'm currently sitting here too lazy to even microwave myself some leftovers for dinner.
