I saw them without knowing who they were when they were touring this album. The show blew my head off. I bought the album and it initially left me cold. It then became one of my fav albums of all time, and now it looks like I have 40+ GBV albums and have seen them 6 times to day. Isolation Drills was the best gateway I could have asked for.
Deep Fried Grandeur with Kikagaku Moyo is really good.
Is there anything better than a great write up about a bad album? Hook it to my veins...
This al-bum-suuuuuuuu-uuuuuuuuuuuuuukss
Dude, I want what you are smoking. I has songs that should/could have been on frigging Beatles albums. II only has the ever cringeworthy Temp Secretary and the bad version of Comming Up
So sad...that last Girls album sounded literally like a million bucks because of him. A major talent.
Its a lot more accessible than Crack up. I really liked that album but you had to work to get to the core of it. This one is great! It really reminds me of the first album.
Not SG's best writing starting the article ripping on him being a 62 year white male.
This album has texture maaaaaan. The guitars really scrape the ears.
Godless is such a chill jam, especially when driving.
This band and album are fantastic. Great write up.
Although they are relatively new, Melenas is really indebted to BC and BB and is really good.
Bob Dylan saying that they have been a crappy funk band ever since Bill Wyman left was one of the funniest/truest things he has ever said.
I was about to ask whether he had an album coming out... Question answered thanks!
