This is definitely one of the better SNL performances I've heard in a long time.
I think In a Silent Way should be a little higher, it always has been one of my favorite Miles albums, but great list!
This album does not disappoint. In my opinion it's right on par with the first Run the Jewels record, which fucking rules. The beats and lyrics are little more diverse than the first record. Most of the lyrics are super "in your face" (as you would expect), but they also get really emotional at some parts. Damn I'm gonna go listen to this again.
I fuck with BBNG so hard. This album is going to be fire.
This beat is so sick and Rock goes over it pretty well. The lyrics are decent but not that compelling to me, which is the case for a lot of the material I've heard from him. His presence and delivery on the mic is something to be admired on this track though.
This album is going to be stupidly good. Like holy shit.
I can only imagine my sadness when this album ends.
Totally agree. This whole album is probably going to be really cringeworthy. As you mentioned, since all the songs are going to be Division Bell B sides then I really have no high hopes (get it?) for this album. I found the Division Bell to be an incredibly lackluster and cheesy album.
This is some sad news. Although my enjoyment of Crystal Castles was never that devoted, it was always exciting to hear new projects from them.
I'm pretty sure the first time I listened to this album I got visuals. Definitely one of my favorite AOTY so far.
I agree. The first time I listened to Real Estate, I wasn't blown away because most of time they use the same instruments and sonic qualities, but their vibe is really intoxicating and easy to get lost in.
I think this list is some lacking Slim Shady material like the obvious picks "Rock Bottom" and "Role Model", but I still think this list is pretty solid.
"Voyager" always gets forgotten :(
I really dig the production. It's dark, sharp, and schizophrenic.
Is it just me or do these beats sound like a little bit like Death Grips? More like NO LOVE DEEP WEB more than anything though. It's hard hitting, dance influenced, and synthy.
