I didn't even know who Michele Buttface was until a week ago mate, were not all American. We give this vaccination to teenage girls along with all the other standard vaccinations and no ones gotten in a lather over it.
Maybe its because of our health care system, our government (and people) can see that vaccinations prevent much greater cost in the long run. Its not rocket science.
I'm still at a complete loss for why an 'opt-out' vaccine is wrong??? Why would anyone chose not to get it, its just complete completely foreign to me that if you have the opportunity to prevent cancer, with a vaccine, that you wouldn't let your child be vaccinated.
If the vaccine prevented ALL cancer would people still care? Gabe, you were around when the polio vaccine came out, how was that received?

I kinda agree with #3, not that I hate the Ball, but I think ditching it in favour of a weekend open thread (and leaving the ball less "official") might foster a bit more discussion, as well as give people a bit more of a space of general discussion on the weekends when theres no posting. I know were open to discuss what we want in the comments anyway, but make it a bit more talkie and a bit less dance giffy?

Ive said it before but it would be really nice to be able to switch to filter by newest comments, so that if you are, say, the 310th commenter in the thread, you don't feel like you are completely wasting your time.

I really loved April as Janet Snakehole. I think the writers of P&R do such a great job on keeping their characters fresh compared to other sitcom. I wondered in season 2 how they would keep April going without making her completely unlikable but they've managed to do it!

I like to imagine that Gebe did try to get Charlie Sheen to guest blog this week, but it turned into an elaborate quest where Gabe had to fight a series of trolls, warlocks and tigers so he just gave up.

I would like to once again resume my (sporadic) nomination of Kevin Costners “The Postman”.
This truly dreadful film was directed by Costner AFTER Waterworld, who must use the mantra “if you fail at delivering a Post-apocalyptic film, try and try again.” And throw in some awful dialogue and lots of scenes of yourself looking heroic and patriotic for good measure, then stretch that out to 3 painful hours.
Corey Haim definately had more of an impact on teenage Lizardo than any of those other jerks at the Oscars. I watched the Haim/Feldman movies more times than I would like to admit.
And whats with the double standards, Justin Beiber gets to go to the Oscars but no love for an old teen heart throb who actually acted?
