It is time for a come to Jesus moment regarding hip hop related violence.

Avey Tare killed it. I Definitely dig this more than Panda's releases.
Whoa. Edgy commentary. J/k. Good to see a strong opinion in the negative direction around here for once. Opinions are good, people.
Definitely more reviews and a ranking system. Album of the Week is a great idea. The Heavy Rotation can be a lot to take in and it seems like nothing is heavily rotated for very long. Also (keep in ming I don't know any technical web page terms), I think the site just generally needs to be cleaned up. When scrolling through the News stories, when you click Read More, you are taken to another page. I like the way Pitchfork has it set up where it the story drops down on the same page. The front page of the site has News stories mixed with videos mixed with features mixed with mp3's...it's a mess. I really think a cleaner layout would definitely benefit the user experience and get people to sign in and jnoin the discussion.
Whatever happened to the band "Surf City"? They "rocked out" and were "explosive." They sure as hell blew me away more than this record.
Is that the Black Hole Sun lady?
I really really dig this tune. I am surprised so many people hate it
Great evening of girlfriend out with friends, Caribou's Swim on headphones, dog by my side, and bottles of Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.
best comment ever
Thats pretty funny seeing VW in the context of your album art. Love it
I have probably listened to Blood Visions more than any other album an its still in constant rotation over 3 years later. One of my first dates with my girl friend we to a Jay Reatard show. I have so many memories with his music. I am truly devasted by this. RIP
Disappointed at first because I felt like the best songs are songs we already heard before and we know really well by now. After repeated listens, other great moments start to pop up, like the bass in "Trouble Comes Running" and some of those great, extended, minimalist Spoon jams and grooves in "Out Go the Lights" and "I Saw the Light."
Micachu & the Shapes should definitely be on this list. It was one of the funnest and most interesting of the year.

This made my week. I hope my coworkers aren't scared of things labeled "noise," "punk," or "metal." I'm way too excited for this album.
I just don't get it.
Why am I more intrigued by Beck now, in the last couple of years, than ever before?
Gentleman Jesse was one of the most under rated albums pretty much... ever. I'm glad somebody, somewhere, is fiinally giving them a little credit. For some reason, the blogs didn't pick up on it... so basically nobody else did either. BTW, check out their Halloween show pics from last Saturday at the Earl. RAWK!!
