just to throw this out there: i also went through the Canadian school system (in Ontario, same province as the bieb) and we learned about Black history in depth, constantly, all year long - but especially every February where it was quite literally the focus of every class. sorry dude, you just weren't paying attention. either way, i do think his heart is in the right place - but kind of silly to blame it on the Canadian school system which is constantly referencing black and First Nations history and issues from kindergarten to high school
