I want to hate this song because of those inane lyrics but damn those harmonies are pretty.
But what did you think about Tupac????
Every week I think I really should start reading the books but then I remember I don't have the energy to read several 700+ page books and this show is so great anyway and run-on sentences!
Yes. Who thought this was a good idea?
Right. I haven't watched the show at all and don't plan to, but I think the argument about authorial authenticity that Kelly made (unless I misunderstood it) was a dubious one. It's impossible for just about any TV show to be "real" or "realistic" for anyone but wealthy, entitled people, because those are the people with the ability to make TV shows. Poor folks generally can't produce TV shows, hence we have a movie about Indian slums by millionaire Danny Boyle, not an actual resident of the slums. The problem is less with the people who are producing the shows or movies than with those who claim that they are "real".
Agreed that the title sequence is helpful for orientation. Really it's remarkable (and a testament to the strong writing of the show) that I'm not totally lost each episode. Also, if you look closely during the title sequence, beside each actor's name is the sigil of the character they portray. I'm sure this has already been noticed many times by many people, but it is still pretty rad!
Is anyone else concerned about the number of different characters/kingdoms/threats that is being introduced each episode? I trust HBO to make it work and each new wrinkle (e.g. that crazy ginger queen, the Iron Islands folks) are consistently fascinating and intriguing but I'm worried about how it's all going to come together! Guys...? Also, with all the people getting it in this episode, maybe we should change the name of the show to "Game of Bones", amirite?
This is entirely unrelated to the thread of conversation, but does anyone know where someone (i.e. me) who doesn't have cable can (legally) watch Mad Men? Is it available on demand somewhere? I'm not averse to paying a buck or two to watch an episode.
Whoa. Think I just had a seizure.
The truth is out there.

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.
Caleb Howe is the boyfriend America deserves, not the one it needs.
Your mom is so cool. Seriously, my mom just figured out email. Once tried to have her read a Word document ton my computer and she didn't know how to scroll up and down. Plus she is always coming into my room and doesn't get that Edward is the one for me. But that is a whole other story entirely. Wow that anecdote really spiraled out of control quickly.
The girl at 0:45 (sorry I'm too lazy to make a gif) really sums up my thoughts: "Whuuuuuuuuuuut?"
That Seductive Nurse (I'm assuming that's how she's credited in the film) really struggled to take her top off. Perhaps she should reconsider her career choice.
Can't we all just peep some giraffes?
Damnit. This was the supposed to be James Franco "so gooding" the pie in Spider-Man 3...
Wait Steven Seagal has a show on A&E?
What's next, a "Citizen Kane" videogame, AMIRITE?
Steve Winwood likes goat cheese for its taste, not because it's hip.
Wow this is really, really great. The whole Record Club is a cool idea, and it's nice to see them pull it off so well. I didn't think I would like this as much as I do!
I once tried to hit on a girl at a jukebox, but given the way this movie turned out, I'm happy she ignored me. I mean my life is not the greatest, but at least it's not a trainwreck like "Down to You". Way to go me!
No but seriously it will probably be later today, so just sit tight and we can all find out how terrible "Down to You" is as a family!
To answer your query would only deprive you of the life-changing journey upon which you have already embarked by asking such trenchant questions. Keeping asking questions of life and you will discover so much more than the answers that you seek. Chase your dreams, Megan Park!

Like this a lot--the new album is showing a lot of promise (as expected)! But then again, I am an unabashed lover of all things LCD...

Agreed that this trailer isn't as good as the original teaser, which was pretty incredible. But I'm still very excited about this movie, if nothing else for the Daft Punk sound track.
