It wasn't the quickness that bothered me. I like that it was sudden, but it was just one really boring shot. I felt like there was a lot more sort of terror and darkness in that scene in the book. I also would have loved a shot from outside the tent of renly being killed in silhouette, which I think is described in the book (or i imagined when I read it?). I just kind of think something like that could have been handled much more stylishly. I do think it's a really good show, and most of the changes don't bother me, I just think this scene could have been really impressive and wasn't.
