@tom are you really tall? I thought I saw someone over the weekend that resembled your black frame twitter photo, but couldnt be for sure. Did you enjoy Raleigh?
I thought this was Ed Kowalczyk. I was like, oh, good for him getting indie buzz. Last time I saw him was a free concert for 45 people in a place I can't remember.
wierdly you wonder if this was the plan all along. They say that before people commit suicide that they are very excitable and clear because they have made the decision. It makes me feel even shittier listening to the album now knowing it could have been in his head the whole time.
I hate when I get a preview a song months before its release promising new stuff in the new year only to find it is apart of the "new album" that is actually a greatest hits album and then realize the tour is a tour that cost 4x the normal cost of a ticket to see a band I love and the other band on the tour is Cage the Elephant.
It was a really nice moment. The lines were a little worse than usual for a festival for food, but the vibe was very special. Hopefully this comes back. That part of the state needs events like these to show the best of the people that live there.
The real scary thing here, is that the behavior being exhibited is not something that the perpetrator will know is wrong until after they have been told.
The cycle will continue, but hopefully this will disrupt the cycle.
Its fascinating though. It's not really like narcissism is taught. I guess people can be products of their environment, but it truly is a conundrum to recognize how to effectively prevent this behavior, and, for that matter, how society will judge reconciliation with the abuser.
honestly, the whole thing, including the sketch, is awkward and cringeworthy.
I say this as a lost Weezer fan. I almost was insulted that they didn’t find actors actually passionate about this debate. It was too contrived.
Which, maybe the whole sentiment I got was apt and nobody should have felt good about a debate over weezer in 2018.
What is life?
Being in my thirties this may be my first indication that the rap game is passing me by. I dont really hear anything redeemable here. But, I acknowledge that I am not in the young mainstream of the teens and 20s.
I love the new Vince Staples album, and I can just as easily hear Vince over these beats too, but this stuff is not moving me.
Am I missing something?
Honestly, how does anyone know that this was not an attempt at Kanye? When will Kanye come out and tell us that is was an attack on him and society, and black people, and black people that weren't slaves, and people without moms, and people who innovate...etc, etc, etc...
Really fun stuff in a tragic sounding kind of way. I just wish that it would have built to a fast paced Robyn crescendo. But it is such a promising start to new music.
