lol the only people i can think of who are into breakdancing are all somewhere in their 40s doing the same routines to These Are The Breaks from the 80s or whatever. is there even an analog to this stuff in 'youth culture' in 2020? i feel like there's a hard wall of breakdancing as a cultural thing after like 2003ish
It's nice to see an amicable parting given how very public and very toxic a lot of 'high profile' splits are these days. That being said I can absolutely see Kacey dropping a classic breakup/divorce record.
lol shut up no one cares about your IQ or your degrees. you dont wanna be treated like 'some random YouTube troll' then dont make random YouTube troll level comments. your take is bad and you should feel bad.
I stan tf out of Daniel Romano. The man is incredibly talented. Producer, songwriter, instrumentalist, singer, painter, designer, leather worker. Over like a month's time he's put out like 4 albums and a 20 minute song featuring the Tool drummer. He really is out here doing the most.
I don't understand how low-effort music like this is so popular. Is it just the name recognition? Even Kaws phoned it in on that artwork. I say this as a general fan of both Travis and Cudi, but this shouldn't be a Number One song.
No offense to any of the musicians already involved with this project, but how is this a film about JAZZ and DEATH without Flying Lotus being anywhere near it.
Makers is good. But Buffalo Trace is like 'capital B Bourbon' to me. What should 'good' bourbon taste like, ideally, on a base level? It should taste like Buffalo Trace. There are bourbons that are better than BT but like, Buffalo Trace is the platonic ideal of bourbon to me.
I've been a sobbing mess for the last couple hours. I'm not in a great place in my life. I haven't been for a while. This album is resonating with me on an uncomfortably deep level. Thank you, Frank.
SNZ were goofy but man like Cab Calloway was goofy. Hell the opening to that Stephen Foster video is a direct homage to an old Calloway reel before a Betty Boop cartoon. I really do enjoy that damn band.
Squirrel Nut Zippers were a legitimately great band. I don't understand the weird shade being thrown at them in this article. Granted I'm from south Louisiana and they remind me a lot of the early jazz from New Orleans and some of their members have ties to the musicians in this area, but those albums they put out were the only artifacts associated with the 'swing revival' that hold up in 2016.
I used to work at a photo lab. My boss at the photo lab always had a hare-brained scheme that would undoubtedly put him on the Gravy Train to Money City. One of his big ideas was affixing a camera to a balloon so that contractors could take aerial photographs of their build sites. I was all 1) what? and 2) I'm trying to print out these bridal photos why don't you help me with that instead of working on your garbage balloon. Long story short the photo lab went belly-up about a year after I started working there.
Oh man, Hayes Carll is the BEST. The video for 'She Left Me For Jesus' is amazing, and the entire premise of the song just makes me giggle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhkHG-oKCEU
