Watch Florence + The Machine On SNL

Florence & The Machine returned to SNL last night in what turned out to be a pretty decent episode of music-related content. Host Jason Segel sang with the Muppets in the monologue (Statler to Waldorf: "I hope Florence brought a time machine … so we can go back to before we heard that song!"). More »

Coldplay Return To SNL

Coldplay made their inevitable return to Saturday Night Live on this weekend's Emma Stone-hosted episode, playing their Mylo Xyloto singles "Paradise" and "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" on a stage covered, for some reason, in multicolored pinwheels. Chris Martin's dancing, it bears mentioning, gets tougher to figure out as time goes on. More »

Watch Drake’s SNL Performance & Digital Short

Drake had an extremely busy Saturday Night Live, performing two songs -- "Make Me Proud" and "Headlines" -- as well as showing off some of those television chops honed during his time on Degrassi. The Digital Short doesn't disappoint. More »

Watch Radiohead On Saturday Night Live

Last night, Radiohead showed up on the season premiere of SNL, their first appearance on that particular television institution since 2000. Alec Baldwin hosted for a record setting 16th time, which meant Steve Martin showed up too. Radiohead sadly didn't appear in any Lonely Island sketches, but they did perform the King Of Limbs single… More »

Radiohead return to Studio 8H for their second ever performance (their first was in 2000) on Saturday Night Live when the 37th season begins 9/24. Alec Baldwin will host for a record-setting 16th time. It might be his last SNL appearance before he leaves 30 Rock or runs for mayor or something. Should be… More »

Watch SNL “3-Way (The Golden Rule)” Feat. Justin Timberlake & Lady Gaga

Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake revived their funky fresh new jack swing duo on tonight's season finale of Saturday Night Live, which JT hosted for the fourth time. Musical guest Lady Gaga joins the pair in this digital short, a raunchy '90s R&B-inspired throwback a la Emmy-winning holiday carol "Dick In A Box" and "Motherlover"… More »

Foo Fighters Play SNL

Foo Fighters visited SNL this weekend, and Dave Grohl appeared in two sketches. One was the SNL Digital Short where Grohl lived inside Mirren's magical rack, and another had Grohl taking over Jason Sudeikis's job as a strip club DJ. They also did "Rope" and "Walk" on the show. Check out their performances and… More »

The Lonely Island – “We’re Back” Video & Turtleneck & Chain Info

The Lonely Island are back with (drumroll) "We're Back," the first taste of their forthcoming second album Turtleneck & Chain. The SNL trio's 2009 Incredibad boasted guest spots from T-Pain, Norah Jones, and Julian Casablancas. This time they've got Akon, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna. Does that mean this album will include "I Just… More »

The Strokes Hit SNL

I have rarely looked forward to Gabe Videogum's SNL recap with more anticipation than this week's because what the hell was that last night? I mean aside from having a script that with sketches both pitched and punched up by Miley Cyrus's publicist, it is very cool how SNL gave Miley a chance to show… More »

Saturday Night Live: With Host Paul McCartney & Comedic Guest Paul Rudd!

It sorta felt like Macca's show, anyway. In addition to performing four songs, McCartney appeared in the opening monologue, the Digital Short, Weekend Update, and etc. “Fair enough. Dude was a Beatle."… More »

Florence & The Machine Visit SNL Where Horses Play Baseball

Florence Welsh brought her breakout single "Dog Days Are Over" and her cover of The Source's "You've Got The Love" to Saturday Night Live this weekend. The microphone in her hands could have been a prop -- her voice is huge. "Dog Days Are Over" is the second single from Lungs, but it didn't get… More »

Arcade Fire Return To SNL

It's late Saturday night, so can we group liveblog this? The ScarJo/Arcade Fire combo bodes well. I'm told we should expect "We Used To Wait" and "Sprawl II." Don't hold me to that, "wait for it..."… More »

Kanye Updates “Power” For SNL, Drops “Denim Flow”

Having promised to cancel G.O.O.D. Friday after a hacker (?) leaked the apparently unfinished Bon Iver-sampling "Lost In The World," this morning Yeezy forgave the Internet and tweeted a new song anyway. Thanks Kanye! I'll toast to your non-douchiness. More »

MGMT played a pretty rough episode of Saturday Night Live this weekend. Host Gabourey Sidibe stumbled over a lot of her lines, though she at least understood what humor was, what she was saying, etc. (making January Jones still the worst host in recent memory). MGMT did "Flash Delirium" and "Brian Eno," and while… More »

Pearl Jam Did Saturday Night Live

The band delivered a pair of songs during SNL's worst show of the season, which at least makes karmic sense since last week's Galifianakis night was the very best (feat. Ezra Koenig). Watch Pearl jam here, free of Jude Law's reminders that he starred in Hamlet on the old Broadway you're welcome. More »

Vampire Weekend Return To SNL

Verily, SNL's talent bookers nailed the zeitgeist this weekend. Where last time through just the very sight of Ezra, Rostam, and the Chrisses proved a highlight of a dismal show, this night they were the icing on an already must-watch episode that everyone involved with the show said was "what the show was all… More »

Watch SNL‘s Smash Mouth Sketch, “We Are The World 25″ Parody

Jennifer Lopez hosted and performed even though she doesn't have an album or movie out anytime soon. She was the best part of a "We Are The World" parody, and a small part of the best-in-show Smash Mouth sketch. Watch at Videogum. (And compare Bill Hader's Eddie Vedder to Adam Sandler'sMore »

Them Crooked Vultures, Crisis Of Conformity Play SNL

The supergroup's performance was overshadowed by Crisis Of Conformity, Fred Armisen and Dave Grohl's pitch-perfect hardcore punk spoof. Plus John Paul Jones had the line of the night in an unaired sketch (with ?uesto) about farts. Watch and learn. More »
