After the widespread success of “1 2 3 4″ it was only a matter of time before Feist showed up to count on Sesame Street (albeit, sans the actual Count for some bizarre reason). Tilly And The Wall didn’t exude as clear an educational angle, but the cheery tap-dancing Nebraskans do possess something kid-friendly about their day-glo look and sound and smiles (and name, which came from the children’s book, Tillie and the Wall). So it’s not all that surprising that they traveled to Sesame Street to teach the kids about the alphabet. Unfortunately, they don’t get to mingle with any puppets.

It was only a matter of time before Feist brought “1 2 3 4″ to Sesame Street and gave the Count a run for his money. So it goes: The Canadian indie iPod-er will appear on the 39th season premiere of Sesame Street (8/11) with a new take on the old track. I don’t mean to be a Grouch, but maybe more impressive than teaching monsters, penguins, and chickens to count to four would be teaching them to count the number of times she’s performed the fucking song.
