I love how any time there's any mention of Malk or Pavement in an article, everyone who either hates Pavement/SM&J or thinks they're overrated has to come out and make it known that they hate them.
Malk is a smug, smooth bastard. Everyone knows this. He's the kind of guy who can woo you and insult you at the same time. And I like it.
Anyway, I didn't want to make a serious comment on this originally, but somewhere along the line it became srs. Kim Deal is making a big...word that isn't deal over nothing. Blah blah blah.

Ugh, and now the 4channers of stereogum all come out of the woodwork to collectively jerk off to their work.
I'm glad Astley has a sense of humor and recognizes the irony in it at least.

That video is simply Obama-sistable.
Also, glad to see SNL finally do a segment that isn't about making Hillary look like a victim. I swear ever since that debate sketch they did there's been almost more backlash against Obama than Vampire Weekend.

Very retro, and very fitting for the throwback Mo-town style of the track.
Best new rock video I've seen recently. Made me smile. :D

Audio quality makes me sad. :(
Please tell me someone there recorded a clearer version. I can barely pick up anything behind Dan/Ed's vocals or Chris Bear's drumming.
Also, looking at John Norris trying so hard to dress and look like a 20s or so-year-old scene kid makes my soul hurt...scratch that. Looking at John Norris in any setting makes my soul hurt. That interview was absolutely awkward and pretty much terrible I have to say.
As for the album release, last I heard the band was aiming for next April. 8 months too long.
