Are you joking? Is this a joke?

Feelies covered it too. Too bad no cover even comes close to the 1969 live version by the VU themselves.

I find songs less interesting once they've been in a movie, unless they're really well placed but that's rare. It's just an exposure thing. The common folk won't seek out things unless they're right in from of them.

I'm pretty sure "My Girls" used to be called "House".

The choice that has made the most sense in the (very short) history of this awad methinks.

I'm sorry, but BC is totally in the right here. The guy is just human and complete strangers are abusing his generosity. Fuck them.

Yes, we all just want to dance, wear our Chuck Taylors and not give a shit how they were made, who they were made by, and how much money went to already filthy rich conglomerates from this marketing scheme alone…

I didn't like the Microcastle songs at first at all, but something's clicked now, and I don't care how little they sound like Cryptograms. They DO kill! Great bands grow up eventually, and that's what makes people remember them. People like to crap on bands like No Age, Deerhunter and Liars today, but I say those people will be eating their shit in a matter of years...

You know, when a band stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, that makes it a North American tour, not a U.S. tour. YOU CAN TAKE OUR WATER AND TREES, BUT HANDS OFF OUR BEST CITIES MMKAY!?? Just kidding. Sort of.

What a fucking jackass. Ian MacKaye always told off his audience when they behaved like this kid did, but he'd never call them "faggots" or "pussies"... He knew how to rise above. Josh Homme doesn't understand the concept of rising above.

Band To Watch: Threatmantics

Threatmantics are a scruffy Welsh rock trio that throw some wrinkles into the scruffy rock formula: Instead of a lead guitarist, they have a lead John Cale viola, and their drummer does double-time with a keyboard. The two guys mixing...
