Altar Of Plagues/The Atlas Moth Announce U.S. Tour

I saw Altar Of Plagues when they played The Studio At Webster Hall in August 2010 — it wound up being the best show I saw that year. The Irish post-black metal quartet absolutely leveled the place (no small feat after pretty climactic sets from openers Man’s Gin, Castevet and Velnias). And this was more than half a year before they released Mammal, arguably their best release to date. That was the band’s first and only NYC appearance; U.S. dates from the Irish act are none too common. But they’re coming back for a short North American tour with Profound Lore label mates the Atlas Moth, leading up to both bands’ appearances at Raleigh, NC’s Hopscotch Music Festival. I highly recommend making your way out to see the tour if it plays within a remotely manageable radius of your home. Based on my experience, you won’t be disappointed, and you have an excellent chance of being blown away. Tour dates here.
