New Twin Sister – “Ginger” & “Nectarine”

Lovely stuff coming from Brooklyn quintet Twin Sister, who’ve released the freely downloadable four-track EP Vampires With Dreaming Kids with another due soon via Infinite Best Recordings. This pair, aside from being deliciously titled, are Vampire’s stylistic bookends: “Ginger” makes the bigger statement, an elegant, female-fronted and fuzzed chugger brushed over with spectral harmonies and starbursting guitars; “Nectarine” showcases their boy-fronted bedsit flip side, folksy fingerpicking, Alex Scally-styled slide-guitar. One homespun and the other expansive, both closely held and intimate. Have a listen:
