Pitchfork Music Festival Is This Weekend And Should Be Pretty Great

When we arrive at a concert fest’s gates, we’ll usually publish a Sets To See post, separating the wheat from the Jack Johnson. With Pitchfork’s annual Music Festival, though, that’s a waste. Just see everything. Last year it was Slint and the Clipse and Mastodon and crazy warehouse afterparties and too much more, and this year’s lineup is no less bloggable. Tonight comes the powered-by-ATP entire-album-recreation sets, including Mission Of Burma’s Vs., Sebadoh’s Bubble And Scrape, and Public Enemy’s It Takes A Nation… (which I’m out of my brain about) — and the rest of the lineup’s too densely stacked to rattle off in any meaningful manner, short of laying out the timetable. So, here’s the timetable:

For SMS lovers, get each day’s lineup to your phone by texting “Pitchfork” to 54295 on the day you’re curious about. Forkcast calls for isolated thunderstorms tonight right in time for Mission Of Burma at 6PM (continuing throughout the weekend, yay), so if you’re here bring a poncho. If you’re not, stay happy, stay dry — Brandon and I will be coming with photos and words throughout the weekend.
