Redd Kross – “Stay Away From Downtown” Video

Reactivated L.A. sugar-punk lifers Redd Kross had a golden-era Kiss fixation before that became a cool thing in underground rock, and they’re still keeping it going years after it was cool. In their new “Stay Away From Downtown” video, all four members of the band rock DIY Paul Stanley greasepaint and gold-lame jackets while pounding out the song in a basement somewhere. The band’s own Jeff McDonald co-directs alongside 1991: The Year Punk Broke filmmaker Dave Markey. Watch it below.

The new Redd Kross album Researching The Blues is out 8/7 on Merge; hear the title track here.
