The Bristol producer Hyetal is no newcomer; he released his debut album Broadcast a couple of years ago, and he’s half of the duo Velour with Julio Bashmore. But Hyetal’s new album Modern Worship seems likely to be the one that introduces him to a wider audience, thanks to tracks like first single “Northwest Passage.” The song is a pounding but atmospheric thing that hits a bunch of different moods in its five minutes and features a starry-eyed vocal from singer-songwriter Gwilym Gold.
