In the video for “Immortals,” one of the many heavenly shredfests on her new album The Chronicles Of Marnia, we see the head-spinning guitarist and sharply melodic songwriter Marnie Stern at home in her New York apartment. She’s imagining herself besieged by adoring shirtless male fans, and she’s somehow missing the angelic kids appearing in her living room. I’m not quite sure what the video’s supposed to represent, but it seems like it might have something to do with the idea that Marnie is, at the same time, a fun and relatable lady and the second coming of Angus Young. Allie Avital Tsypin directs the video, and you can watch it below.
