If one had to invent a film genre for Depeche Mode’s “Sooth My Soul” video, perhaps it would be New Wave Voyeurism. The black and white clip plays like a choppy, living slideshow, all square-shaped peep holes viewing the band performing in shadows, slithering snakes and glimpses of naked bodies — although, primarily stomachs, giving a whole new meaning to “navel-gazing.” Check it out below.
