Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby stars Leonardo Dicaprio and the god Amitabh Bachchan and features a stacked soundtrack, executive produced by Jay-Z. It’s an OST notable for injecting contemporary aesthetics into a Roaring ’20s backdrop, which we’ve heard via original contributions from Florence + The Machine and Lana Del Rey and now the xx, who hew close to their golden ratio of one part girl, one part boy, all parts sultry and tastefully skeletal production. There are strings in here, too, for added cinematic effect. It is good, enjoy it:
The Gatsby OST is out 6/7. Check it on iTunes.
