The Global Citizen Tickets Initiative is a new nonprofit venture in which stars like Kanye West, Beyoncé, and Bruce Springsteen donate tickets to their shows, which you can enter to win by sharing Facebook videos about poverty. (Learn more about it here.) One of the artists participating is My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, who dropped his solo album Regions Of Light And Sound Of God earlier this year. And now, in conjunction with the initiative, he’s recruited tUnE-yArDs to remix his placid single “A New Life.” Merrill Garbus has more or less turned the placid original into a yipping, howling percussive workout.
