Dinosaur Jr. recently teamed up with Skullcandy to release a special pair of headphones packaged with a 7-inch single. Now the headphones company is streaming the unreleased track, “The Only Other Way,” as well as it’s B-side, a live version of the You’re Living All Over Me highlight (let’s face it that album is only highlights) “The Lung.” The Green Mind style headphones and the single are due out next Tuesday, and if you live in LA you can head over to Amoeba music that same day to see J Mascis play a free solo set to celebrate the release. The song itself is just pure Dinosaur magic: plenty of fuzz, J’s bummed out vocals, a sweet solo, all punctuated by an earworm of a guitar hook. Give it a listen (or download) below.
