The Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten elbowed her way onto the indie rock A-list last year with her album Tramp, and hopefully she’ll follow it up sometime soon with something just as forceful. Signs are promising. Earlier this month, Van Etten played the Pickathon festival. And while she was there, she played a quick video session in the woods for the Seattle radio station KEXP. Below, watch video of her playing a lovely, driving new song called “Tarifa,” which should make you feel good about Van Etten’s future.
Tramp is out now on Jagjaguwar, and if you haven’t listened in a while, give it another shot.
