The Miami Vice revival sound has been infusing itself into different music realms for the past few years, but it tends to be lean more on Italo disco polish and new wave night drive ephemera. Not for Calvin Love, though, a vet of the Edmonton scene brought to life by Mac DeMarco, who brings those elements into full seedy lounge, retro-disquiet on his track “Cool” from his debut 7″.
