Joker – “Deserted Island”

The British producer Joker has been hybridizing dubstep and squeaky, glossy ’80s funk for something like five years, an absolute eternity in Dubstep Time. (Back when he started, dubstep was still the foggy rain-slicked London bass-music stuff, though Joker’s style works well enough with today’s post-Skrillex definition of the word, too.) He’s got a new EP called Headtop coming next month, and one of its new tracks is a seismic thumper called “Deserted Island.” Listen below.

Headtop is out in December on Kapsize.
