iTunes’s collection of Celebrity Playlists (which gets a shoutout in the new Entertainment Weekly Must List) is worth checking every now and again. Al Franken’s picks indicates the left-wing pundit stopped listening to new music in the early ’80s. But at least he put some thought into it.
Creedence Clearwater Revival “Fortunate Son”
“I like it ’cause I saw it on a jeans ad.”
Elton John “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues”
“It’s his most heterosexual song.”
James Taylor “Sweet Baby James”
“I like songs with beautiful melodies. For example, I’m not a hip-hop fan.”
Still not as funny as Jennifer Garner’s though.
