It’s been six years since we last heard from Nick Harte’s idiosyncratic New Zealand indie-pop project Shocking Pinks. But after a devastating earthquake hit his hometown of Christchurch in 2011, Harte went into seclusion and recorded a ton of new material. From those sessions, he eventually put together the massive forthcoming triple album Guilt Mirrors, and we’ve already heard first single “Not Gambling.” “St Louis,” the second song we’ve heard from that album, is a soft, minimal ballad with a vocal from the visual artist Gemma Syme, and you can hear it below.
