We named Young & Sick — aka Holland-born, Los-Angeles-based A/V artist Nick Van Hofwegen — a Band To Watch for the effortlessly beautiful silicon soul he exhibited on his early singles. (Although, to be honest, his visual art, which has adorned album covers by the likes of Foster The People, Maroon 5, and Robin Thicke, is pretty cool too.) The teaser tracks from Young & Sick’s full-length debut, “Glass” and “Heartsick Fetish,” have been slightly more upbeat than those first few slow jams but just as addictive.
