Watch Damon Albarn Drop In On A London Pub To Sing “Parklife” With The House Band

It’s hard to imagine a better way to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Blur’s Parklife than singing along to the title track with an entire East London pub and Damon Albarn himself. For whatever reason, Albarn got on stage at a Leytonstone pub called the Red Lion and sung the tune accompanied by the a pianist and a carnival barker/hypeman type. They’re called the Gents, but there’s nothing mannered (nor everyday nor robotic for that matter) about their joyous performance here. If you’re lonely, press play and try to imagine yourself there.
