Lil Boosie has been out of prison for about a month now, and he’s released a couple of songs, “Show Da World” among them. But he hadn’t seemed like he’d fully rejoined the rap world until this moment. The new 2 Chainz single “Wuda Cuda Shuda” would’ve been a pretty big rap song even without Boosie, what with its gluey, bass-bubbling Mike Will Made-It beat and 2 Chainz in full laughing-at-your-inadequacies mode. But then Boosie, one of the best people in the world at closing out a rap song, shows up, sounding incensed and wounded and awesome, fully himself and fully in a 2014 rap context. It’s good to hear.
