22 Jump Street, the inevitable sequel to the shockingly entertaining Channing Tatum/Jonah Hill 21 Jump Street movie, comes to theaters later this year, and the movie’s producers got Angel Haze to do its theme song. They even paired her up with actual rap star Ludacris. The good news: Haze is an undeniably gifted underground rapper, and this is probably her biggest career look to date. The bad news: This is a goofy and too-eager-to-please dance-rap dubstep monstrosity, and it sucks. That’s my take on the track, anyway; you can formulate your own when you listen to it below.
22 Jump Street hits theaters 6/13, and this song will be on sale digitally 6/10.
