UPDATE: Sorry, the SoundCloud stream is UK only, but US listeners can stream at NPR.
In 2006 and 2007, between the time the Yeah Yeah Yeahs released Show Your Bones and when they dropped It’s Blitz!, that band’s frontwoman Karen O recorded a series of songs about crushes. These were lo-fi home recordings, and it’s hard to say if she ever intended to release them, or why she decided to wait so long. But those songs are now an album called Crush Songs, and that album is coming out next week. It’s her first-ever solo album. We’ve posted two of those songs, “Rapt” and “Day Go By,” and now you can hear the whole thing. It’s streaming below.
