One of the things I did when visiting London while studying abroad 10 years ago was pose for a photo of some friends and me crossing Abbey Road, just like the Beatles did for their famous album cover pictured above. Of course I did. Everyone does. Now, as The Independent points out, Abbey Road Studios has a 24/7 webcam at the legendary crosswalk — which British people call a “zebra crossing” — ostensibly so you can watch tourists annoy motorists ’round the clock. They’re also building an archive of photos from the crossing including stills from the webcam and user-submitted photos.
