Bruce Springsteen To Make Acting Debut On Lilyhammer

Bruce Springsteen has convincingly played so many characters throughout his musical career, but he’s never really acted. That’s going to change, though, on the third season of Lilyhammer, the Netflix series starring Steven Van Zandt (equally loved as the guitarist of the E Street Band and for his role as Silvio Dante in The Sopranos) as a mobster now adjusting to life in Norway as part of the witness protection program. All we know so far is that Springsteen will play a mortuary owner, as the New York Daily News reports. Coincidentally this season will bring on another person that Van Zandt has a long-term connection with: Tony Sirico, best known for playing Paulie Walnuts on The Sopranos, will have a recurring role as a priest, which is hilarious if you have spent even a few minutes watching Sirico in anything. You can see the cast on set in the photo above.

Lilyhammer will return to Netflix later this year.
