Afghan Whigs’ Gentlemen Gets A Deluxe 21st Anniversary Reissue

When you’re dealing with an album as dark and drunk and intense as the Afghan Whigs’ 1993 major-label debut Gentlemen, the usual 20th-anniversary reissue won’t do the trick. Instead, you need to wait until the album is of drinking age to properly celebrate it. That, at least, seems to be the thinking behind the forthcoming 20th-anniversary reissue of Gentlemen. The double-disc set packages the original album with its original demos, which the band recorded at Cincinnati’s Ultrasuede studio, as well as the “Debonair” single B-sides and the live-for-the-radio EP What Jail Is Like. Below, check out the reissue’s tracklist.
