Jimmy Giannopoulos is a busy guy. Besides being a member of Reputante — signed to Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records — he plays in Lolawolf with Zoë Kravitz and M o t h e r with Penn Badgley and produced both of those bands’ recent records. Now he’s got yet another endeavor, a turntables and tape loops project called G. Lead single “Outer Space” features close collaborator Genevieve breathily emoting (and occasionally Björk-ing) over a warm keyboard vamp and chilly percussive emptiness. In other words, it really does sound like traveling through the solar system toward some explosive star, at least until that rad saxophone solo comes in. Hear it below.
