Cloud Nothings – “Giving Into Seeing (Outer Space Remix)” (Stereogum Premiere)

In his review of Cloud Nothings’ Here And Nowhere Else, Tom described Jason Gerycz’s drumming as the very best part of the already excellent album. “The songs are good on their own, but Gerycz’s playing effectively straps a rocket to them,” wrote Tom. If that’s the case, then the band couldn’t have picked a better artist than Outer Space — the new project from John Elliott (formerly of Emeralds) and Andrew Veres — to take that rocket right into the heavens. Using those drums as the hypnotic heart, the duo builds a dazzling kosmische track that sounds lightyears away from the original, but still has the same fire thanks to Gerycz’s pounding presence. Listen to it below and check out the band’s newly announced tour dates.
