In his capacity as the frontman of Wilco, Jeff Tweedy has been on The Colbert Report more than once. He was on again last night, this time as half of Tweedy, his new band with his son Spencer. Unsurprisingly, the whole idea of a father/son band gave Colbert a whole lot of material to work with when he interviewed the two of them. Jeff Tweedy is always pretty funny in these situations, and Spencer came off nicely Elijah Wood-esque. The band also played a couple of songs. On the show proper, they did “Low Key,” one of the many early singles from their newly released album Sukierae. And as an online bonus, they also did “World Away.” Watch both performances below.
Sukierae is out now on dBpm.
