Foo Fighters Announce 5-Day Letterman Residence With Special Guests

The Foo Fighters’ new album Sonic Highways has a grand concept: Eight songs recorded in eight different cities, with guests from each of those cities playing on every song, and an HBO series attached. Next week, they’ll give that album a suitably grand rollout by spending the whole week playing on the Late Show With David Letterman. Radio.com reports that the band will play five straight nights on Letterman, starting 10/13. They’ll have special guests with them every night, though they haven’t yet revealed who those guests are. Jack White probably won’t be one of them.

Sonic Highways is out 11/10 via Roswell/RCA. The HBO series debuts 10/17.
