Amidst all the hubbub with Mark Kozelek, we somehow missed that the War On Drugs did a great Bob Dylan cover for Minnesota’s 89.3 The Current a few weeks ago. In an interview with the radio station, frontman Adam Granduciel said that he wanted to make sure that they had perfected the cover by the time they got to Dylan’s home state, and he discussed what a huge influence the singer had on his life and music. Then the band launched into “Tangled Up In Blue,” which they’ve also recently been playing during their live shows. Listen to the cover here around the 22:25 mark.
Thanks to whodunit for pointing this out!
UPDATE: Watch a live version from Omaha.
