Former Cake Drummer Sentenced To 15 Years For Child Molestation

Former Cake drummer Peter McNeal has been given a 15 years to life sentence in prison for molesting a 3-year-old girl at a Thanksgiving party in 2009, according to The Los Angeles Times. In March 2013, he was found guilty of oral copulation of a child 10 years or younger. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for life. McNeal joined Cake in 2001, replacing their drummer after the recording of their fourth album Comfort Eagle, and stayed with them through 2004. Billboard notes that McNeal has also worked with artists like Norah Jones and Mike Doughty.
