The members of the band Cairobi come from England, Mexico, Austria, and Italy. They’re all based in London now, and they make floating, decentered psychedelic music that feels vaguely tribal in that obviously festival-ready way. Their song “Zoraide” rides a fascinatingly off-kilter groove while still doing big, open melodic things. It’s the first track on the band’s debut EP Distant Fire, and you can hear it below.
Distant Fire is out now on Week Of Wonders.
