It has to be an intimidating thing to remix Spoon. You have to know, somewhere deep within yourself, that there’s no way you’re going to improve on the original; an interesting take is the best you can hope for. So credit San Francisco ambient post-rock type Tycho with having the gall to take on “Inside Out,” one of the singles from Spoon’s great recent They Want My Soul. The Tycho version of the song is slightly sped up, with busier drums and more echo on Britt Daniel’s voice. It’s an interesting take. Listen to it below.
